Wanderer Magazine, in short, is a celebration of creative youth manifesting in a print magazine. It is a platform for emerging and established creatives to share the real-life moments of what it means to lead a life dedicated to doing what they love. We are independently run and operate out of Bellambi, NSW on Dharawal Country.

Established amongst the classroom desks of her final year of high school, Amber-Rose first created Wanderer Magazine as a personal project. She designed 100 or so A4 pages of interviews with surfers, musicians, friends and community figures—young and old people alike—complete with a smooth finish and picturesque cover. This project was born from her own love of creative media, and the creative individuals who are shaping their industries, as well as the crossovers between music, surf, skate, art and all things in between. Amber-Rose became fascinated by what drove these people to pursue the alternative paths and lifestyles they had. Now, she wants to share that interest, along with what she’s learnt, to inspire others through the work of others, and to impress upon young people the importance and viability of pursuing a path they truly love. She urges her audience to never settle for anything less.

Since Wanderer Magazine’s 2019 inception, Amber-Rose has been lucky enough to establish a small but strong team. She has Finn (@expensive_not_creepy) on graphic design, Emma (@dr_steeze) handling hype girl duties, Lewis covering current affairs and Matilda working all the words with writing and editing. She also has a broad roster of photographers and other contributors spanning internationally.

The team pride themselves on producing quality content that is aiding in the revival of print, on bringing smiles to the faces of their audience, and on working for what they believe in. Through their content, vibrant social media presence, events, print runs and other projects, they’ve built something truly meaningful and are fostering a community full of like-minded people. You’re welcome to join the gang!
