who is patti?

Patti looks outside the square and are here to shake shit up, bringing the women who are free thinkers, pioneers, rule breakers, creators and doers to the center stage. We caught up with the creator of Patti, Elley Norman who told us a little bit about what Patti is and how it came to be.

WANDERER: Tell us a little bit about Patti, why did you guys create this platform?

PATTI: We started Patti because we wanted to create a platform that wasn’t based on looks or like but on actions. Patti is all about celebrating unconventional women that are creators and doers, celebrating being an individual and living without filters.

Where are you guys based and who are the people behind Patti?

My husband and I (Scott Wynn and Elley Norman) started up Patti but we like to think of it more of a collective. We are based in Downtown Los Angeles but are originally from Australia.

What made you move to Los Angeles?

I moved to LA with the hubby Scott because he got a work opportunity.

What ambitions did you have growing up during your educational years. Did you ever think you were going to create Patti?

When I was at art school I always seemed to do things a little differently. So I suppose I knew I would do something outside the box, I just didn’t know what that was back then.

You have a sick team of girls what do you look for scouting the patti team?

We look for women that are passionate about their craft. Women that skate, surf, make music and art that is a little outside of the box. We love doing things differently to everyone else.

You recently put out your film This Way. Were you surprised with its success?

We were stoked on the success. To see people react so well towards the movie was a super proud moment.

What was the most surprising thing that happened during the trip?

I think the most surprising thing that happened on the trip was how well everyone got along. None of the girls had met up too come out of an eight day trip in a limo all best of friends was a cool experience.

Where do you guys see Patti go in the future?

The future goals for Patti are to grow as a community platform. To reach women all over the world and to build unique content around those women. If we can start to encourage positive change within the surf and skate markets that would be the ultimate achievement.

Are you working on any other exciting projects?

Yessss! Always working on exciting projects. We have a piece with a skateboarder Stella Reynolds, surfer Jaleesa Vincent and singer Dani Miller from Surfbort.

Any last things you want to say?

Last words… do what makes you happy no matter how different it may be. Being an individual is what makes the world interesting. Embrace yourself and do what makes you feel good
