It’s getting close to the end of year, and I think we are all feeling it. The days are going slower as we are itching towards the year that was 2020. I think everyone needs a night or two away from all the hustle and bustle to get you back for a fresh start. We have heard about a curated guest cottage located here in Thirroul village, Sailors Heart.

Think, winding down the car window on a Friday night, breathing in the salty air as you descend the escarpment and arrive in the sleepy coastal towns that hug the the Coal Coast, just over an hours drive South from Sydney, and you’ve reached Sailors Heart. Walking distance from the centre of Thirroul village, which as a bit of everything from cafes to bars, beaches to speciality stores.

With sustainability front of mind, Sailors Heart takes its cue from beach shacks of the past, here there is no wifi, no TV or dishwasher, instead there are the sound of waves and a daybed for day time naps. There are vintage binoculars for some bird watching, a picnic basket for bushwalks and lots of time for sleep ins.

The cottage features produce and products from local Coal Coast brands, beautiful luxurious French bed linen and eco products. Curated using salvaged materials and foraged finds from nature means nothing here is precious but every one of them is truly treasured.

If you want to add something special to your special someones Christmas list and give a gift of I want you to have a nice time and I want to have a nice time too sort of gift this Christmas, this is perfect.
