A Perfectly Sound Scenario With Debbies
A perfectly sound scenario, where we ask bands their favourite songs and the perfect scenario or time to listen to it. This month we asked two piece band from South Coast NSW to mention five of their favourite albums and the perfect scenario to go along with it. The responses we got from the boys weren’t quite what you’d expect with them mentioning chores and house work, but then finishing on a completely different note with reference to Rage Against the Machine, if you wanted to hear more from the album click the image to listen.
ABBA - Super Trouper
Scenario: You’re getting shit done around the house at 11am on a Saturday like you mean it. You got no plans yet but the suns shining outside and the pub is looking like a good afternoon option.
Why: The vocals in ‘The Winner Takes It All’ just makes you want to dominate the house work so you can get to the pub sooner to be honest.
JACK RIVER - Sugar Mountain
Scenario: Driving in the night with a full moon illuminating the road
Why: Pretty much all the songs can relate to it. She has this really nostalgic vibe to every song that feels glittery like driving with a full moon.
DUNE RATS - Dune Rats
Scenario: Going camping with mates along the South Coast and getting up to all sorts of mischief haha.
Why: The whole album kinda feels like a big night, starts off huge with ‘Dalai Lama Big Banana Marijuana’ and ends so rightly on ‘When Your Around’. We grew up listening to this all the time on the South Coast and has had massive influences on what we have made, but yeah!
VIOLENT SOHO - Hungry Ghost
Scenario: We wouldn’t be a band without this album. It reminds us of growing up, getting into gigs, the school bus and everything in between!
Why: Listening to this album everyday and realising what a great album sounded like had a huge impact on us growing up listening to music. It reflected our moods towards bus trips to and from school a fair bit but we would listen to the album anytime/anywhere haha.
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE - Rage Against the Machine
Scenario: Need something to vent to.
Why: You don’t even need to be pissed off, but it’s a better listen if you are haha. Great pump up album too... it’s perfect.
