A Perfectly Sound Scenario with Sunset Headrest
A perfectly sound scenario, where we ask bands their five favourite albums and the perfect scenario or time to listen to it. This month we asked Sunset Headrest from Wollongong his perfectly sound scenarios for his favourite albums and the responses we got were rather interesting, have a read and click the image of the album if you feel like giving it a listen to test out the scenario for yourself.
FROTH - Outside (Briefly)
Scenario: Staring at the stars in an incredibly isolated place towards the end of a really big night.
Why? Something about the chaotic spacey guitar tones and the whisper type vocals make it seem like the music is coming from the stars, or at least I thought so when I tried.
MY BLOODY VALENTINE - Loveless
Scenario: Eating a big meal that will make you feel lethargic and sick and then trying to have a nap on a hot Sunday afternoon.
Why? I should warn that this suggestion of mine is not for the faint hearted and you may feel very strange upon waking up until you fall asleep that night only to wake up the next morning and wonder if it was all a dream.
Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To
Scenario: Best for taking it further than you ever have before
Why? The opening tune is just one of the best songs to listen to too psych yourself up and the following is a mix of being relaxing but still has that punch to make you feel proud for your achievement.
Castlebeat - VHS
Scenario: Riding your push bike deep in suburbia with lots of friends (or by yourself) at nighttime .
Why? You’ll probably have the most fist pumping moments in this — minutes than any other time in your life, it will be hard to not feel a sense of epic camaraderie or ecstasy, it’ll feel even better if your listening to it on your walkman and you just won’t want this moment to ever end.
The Cure - Disintegration
Scenario: Crying.
Why? This will be the best cry you’ve ever had, and don’t worry you won’t need anything to cry about.
