Lawrence Macrow-Cain, a chronic observer. Drawn to the moments in between, composition and the mundane. Initially practising photography as a means of memory and understanding. Grew up in Avalon, on Kuring-Gai country, now living in Corrimal, on Dharawal country.
“Sitting on a camp chair under a sunshade attached to the side of a large RV, listening, feeling, watching people of all ages speaking, familiarising, as truckloads of wild desert people flood in on all manner of two, three and four wheeled desert ready machinery. Fella approached me, excited, jovial, told me his name’s Christian. He asked if I’d like to take a couple 110’s out into the golden abyss and smoke a little pipe. Yes, naturally. I shoved a beer into my Levi’s and saddled up on a motorcycle designed for a 10 year old, off we went, out onto some sort of a sandy runway into the ether.” Lawrence – Wanderer Magazine, Issue Six
